Job Description

1. Basic Care & Support:

Ensuring client safety and supervision

• Meal preparation

• Medication reminders

• Monitoring health status

• Light housekeeping and organizing the living area

 

2. With Physical Assistance:

In addition to the above, providing physical support

Note: You will not be assigned to clients requiring physically risky assistance beyond your capability (e.g., those significantly larger than you)

 

This is home care, which differs from working in a facility. You will be providing support at the pace of each client's daily life and preferences. Rather than speed, this job requires attention to detail, strong observational skills, and a focus on providing care safely and respectfully.

 

Working Hours

Shifts are determined by client needs.

The highest demand is during morning to late afternoon hours (up to 6:00 PM), so we especially welcome applicants who are available during this time.

 

Overnight shifts are not permitted to include sleep under Hawaii state regulations.

 

Work Location

Assignments are located within commuting distance from your home, accessible by car or public transportation.

 

Compensation

• Homemaker: from $19/hour

• Personal Care Aide (PCA): from $21/hour

• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA): from $22/hour

Time Off & Scheduling

We use a monthly shift request system.

• Full-time staff: Two days off per week

• Part-time staff: Flexible scheduling based on your availability and personal needs
