Care Philosophy
Safe, Reliable Care — Our Care Philosophy, FASTO
However far our range of support grows, safety and peace of mind remain what matter most to us.
Why safety comes first
The one thing we most want to avoid, for someone continuing to live at home, is a fall. And a fall happens in an ordinary, unremarkable moment. That's why safety comes before everything else for us.
What matters is that this isn't left to individual good intentions. We can put safety first because we work within the rules the state sets, with a clear line as a company between what we do and what we don't. Not overreaching is built into how we operate.
Care Philosophy (FASTO)
F
FEEL — Listen with empathy
We listen closely and work to understand what our clients want and need.

A
ACTION — Act on what matters
We notice even small changes and respond promptly through clear reporting.
S
SAFE — Safety comes first
We never take on care that feels unsafe.
T
TRUST — Earn trust every day
We value honesty, punctuality, careful attention, and prompt reporting.
O
OUTCOME — Better outcomes
We aim for outcomes that support comfort, dignity, and independence.
FASTO is Holly Services Hawaii's own standard of care
— the framework every caregiver returns to whenever a judgment call is needed in the field.
Doing the Right Thing, Consistently

Consistent Safety
Care decisions follow a shared standard, not just individual judgment, so safety always comes first.

Trust You Can Rely On
Honest, timely communication builds a relationship families can depend on, visit after visit.

Dignity & Autonomy
We support what clients can still do for themselves, for a safer and more comfortable daily life.
Compliance
The foundation of doing this right: following Hawaii's rules
Part of what we mean by doing this right is following the rules Hawaii sets, one by one. A few examples:
1. The service plan
We provide care based on the plan agreed at the start. When something outside the plan becomes necessary, we discuss it with you first and revise it.
2. Non-medical care
We operate under a non-medical license and do not perform medical procedures. We work within the proper scope the state defines.
3. Personal care and licensing
When hands-on personal care is needed, we send only PCAs/CNAs who have completed the required training. Staff without that certification do not perform personal care.
